Article of Sarah Palin "Should the vice president be a mom?"

1.) The first thing that we (as a class) were asked to do is to pick an article from a news paper and or magazine. I picked the mag "The Week."

2.) Posted in "The Week" was an article about Sarah Palin, wondering weather or not she should be V.P. with five kids one of which is a special-needs child, and a pregnant "unwed" teenage daughter.
Something that surprised me was that not only the liberals were asking this question, but the feminists were also wondering if she is a good candidate, because by what my understanding of what feminism is that a women can do any job a "man can", with or without being a mother.
Quoted from the same article Sally Quinn said that "You don't have to be a member of the old boys network to wonder which of Palin's two jobs she would be neglecting." She went on to say that "I had a special-needs child myself, and even as a working mother, he always had to be my first priority................. and lets face it, a mothers role is different from a fathers"
I personally see both sides, i think that if she wants to be V.P. that she knows what she is getting into. and i also see that it will be difficult to balance two jobs that both pretty much take over your whole life.
